Upon the request of SOCPA, Mr. James W. Brackens, Jr., AICPA VP – Ethics and Practice Quality visited the Kingdom on December 18, 2013. He met Dr. Ahmad Almeghames, SOCPA Secretary General and other concerned staff of Quality Assurance department . During the visit they discussed with  Mr. Brackens ways of cooperation between SOCPA and the Institute in a number of areas of common interest. The holding of this meeting comes within the efforts made by SOCPA Quality Review Committee to communicate with international bodies for the purpose of improving the current Quality Review manuals and field review programs.
During his visit, Mr. Brackens presented in partnership with Dr. Sabry Heakal, Chairman, The Advisors, Member of RSM International an advanced training course on field review of accounting firms, which was attended by a number of field examiners.
