The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants recorded an increasing demand for professional certificates during the first half of 2025, as the number of applicants for exams reached 9,119 applicants in various certificates.
The fellowship exam topped the list of certificates in terms of the number of applicants, as the number of applicants during the first half of 2025 reached 4,989 applicants, followed by the value-added tax specialist exam with 2,081 applicants, then the accounting technician exam for which 1,582 applicants applied, and a total of 379 applicants applied for the financial fraud examiner exam, while the number of applicants for the public sector accounting standards exam reached 88 applicants.
This demand comes as the Organization seeks to continuously improve professional qualification procedures and raise the efficiency of practitioners in the sector.
The Organization is working on continuously developing the professional certification system, including restructuring the fellowship exam, which will begin to be implemented in its new form starting from the third session of 2025.
