SOCPA Organizes Saudi Accounting Technologies Conference
The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) is organizing the Accounting Technology Conference under the theme "The Role of Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Advancing the Accounting and Financial Sectors." The event will be held at the Hilton Granada Hotel in Riyadh from October 16 to 19, 2024, alongside the second edition of the Accounting Solutions Hackathon.
SOCPA’s CEO, Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Al-Moghames, stated that the conference is the first of its kind, featuring four panel discussions and 18 specialized workshops that explore the latest technologies serving the accounting and auditing professions, while envisioning their future amid rapid technological advancements.
The conference will feature more than 35 speakers and international experts, focusing on challenges facing the profession and potential solutions. “This event is part of our commitment to empower accountants by exposing them to cutting-edge technologies that drive the accounting and financial sectors forward,” Dr. Al-Moghames stated.
The CEO emphasized that the Accounting Technology Conference is part of SOCPA's initiatives to empower and support accountants by aligning with the latest technological developments that benefit the accounting and financial sectors.
Sponsored by Saudi Aramco as a strategic partner and the Capital Market Authority as a permanent partner, the event will also feature an exhibition with 30 participants from government entities, accounting firms, and software companies. The exhibition offers visitors a valuable opportunity to network with key players in the sector and includes a dedicated advisory booth staffed by top industry experts.
Running concurrently with the conference, the Accounting Solutions Hackathon will take place from October 17 to 19, attracting 100 teams, 450 participants, 60 advisors, and 12 judges who will assess innovative solutions to real-world accounting challenges.
